Priority Course Registration

To enable students to plan their schedule while taking accessibility into consideration, Student Accessibility Services advocates for priority registration appointment times for students with disabilities. Students are responsible for seeing their academic advisor, planning for appropriate classes, signing into myUCF on a computer to view the schedule of available classes, and registering for courses at or after their scheduled registration appointment time.

Course Substitutions

Specific disabilities may prevent a student from successfully completing a General Education Progream (GEP) course, like math or a foreign language. According to need, substitutions can be made on a case-by-case basis for registered students. Students must submit documentation that supports the case that the student would not be able to pass the course, even with reasonable appropriate accommodations.

UCF Placement, Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), and Professional Exam Accommodations

Students with disabilities seeking accommodations for most University Testing Center (UTC) tests must request approval from SAS. Students not currently registered may need to submit appropriate documentation to SAS for review.

Students seeking accommodations for graduate entrance or professional certification exams may request certification from SAS for accommodation services provided and used while enrolled as a UCF student. Please allow at least 3 business days for our office to process your request. During busy times of the semester, the turnaround time may be a bit longer.
