SAS Main Office doors will be open this fall Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Not on campus? Drop in to the Virtual Front Desk Mon-Fri from 1  - 3 pm to speak to an SAS staff member. Appointments and meetings will continue to be virtual until further notice. You can also email sas@ucf.edu and will receive a response within one business day. Speech-to-Text Captioning

Deaf or Hard of Hearing UCF students connected with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) can request speech-to-text captioning services. With this accommodation students can follow along in real-time on their laptop as their class lecture is captured by a trained captionist. A transcript is then developed and made available to the student.

American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting

Deaf or Hard of Hearing UCF students connected with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) can request ASL interpreting services. Sign language interpreters at UCF are skilled professional interpreters placed in the classroom to promote effective cross-cultural communication in every field of study.

Request Captionists or Interpreters for UCF Events

University students connected with SAS and university departments hosting an event can request captioning or interpreting services. Requests should be made as early as possible but must be made at least five (5) days prior to the actual activity.
