Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Services
Deaf and Hard of Hearing UCF students connected with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) can request speech-to-text captioning services. With this accommodation students can follow along in real-time on their laptop as their class lecture is captured by a trained captionist. A transcript is then developed and made available to the student.
Closed Captions and Transcription for Course Content
Deaf and Hard of Hearing UCF students connected with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) can request to have captions added to pre-recorded videos or transcripts added to audio-only course content under the Captioned Video Accommodation. A skilled team works with your professor to provide captioning and transcription support for video or audio content used in academic courses. All course modalities are supported, from face-to-face to online courses.
Are you trying to watch a video or need access to information in a podcast but find it is not currently accessible (i.e. lacks proper captions or a transcript)? Did you already submit a Captioned Video accommodation request in Knights Access for this course? If you answered yes to both questions, please fill out the short form at the link below as soon as possible to request timely assistance from SAS.
